When in doubt regarding what type of card to send to someone on their birthday, send humorous birthday cards. We all know just what a birthday card means to its recipient. If you forgot how important they are, think back and remember the time you forgot to send one to a family member and how bad you felt about it or how you felt when someone forgot your birthday. For some of us we don't have to think too hard because it wasn't long ago. Birthday cards provide us all an opportunity to convey our birthday wishes to our friends and loved ones. On the other hand, humorous birthday cards will achieve the same and then some. They are very comical. Take the time I gave my brother a funny greeting card on his birthday, it wasn't the standard boxed card, but a card that really hit home and made fun of him in a very nice way. My brother loves to fish and often goes for days and doesn't catch much. It is a silent joke among my other two brothers and I. The card had a picture of a fisherman on the front and the inside cover wished him a happy birthday and remarked about how he might not always catch fish, but even a fisherman can catch a birthday every year, something along those lines. It was quite funny and he enjoyed it very much, perhaps not as much as my brothers and I did though. We all enjoyed the laugh and made sure we commented on the card throughout the day whenever we got the chance. I know my brother is thinking real hard about what kind of card he will get me for my birthday. Rest assured, he will mock something about my personality or habits in an effort to get the same results. He will more than likely send me, as you might expect, one of those humorous birthday cards.
Humorous birthday cards make the biggest impact if you can match the humor with some personality trait or likes of the recipient. They are easy to find nowadays too. In the digital era we live in with the internet, we can literally design our own card at some of the online birthday card sites. Emailing the card is always an option, but some sites will even send the card via traditional mail for a nominal fee. This makes it real easy to find a funny birthday card that will make a significant impact with the recipient. Traditional birthday cards don't provide the same impact as humorous birthday cards do. They can, but mostly it is hit or miss. On the other hand, funny birthday cards provide the sender an opportunity to connect with the recipient at a different level with humor and in our current digital era they are real easy to find or have tailor made. Send a humorous card the next time you send a birthday card and enjoy the fun.
